Your work will be published online and you will also be able to include it in your Multi-Media Portfolio.

Assessment:

2-hour editing exam.

Syllabus

The ability to identify good video stories, to set them up and then film and edit them against the clock will help to make you a highly valued member of any newsroom.

You will be trained to make and record professional risk assessments for every assignment and taught about legal and ethical considerations of filming.

Video journalists at Up To Speed edit using both Final Cut and Adobe Premier software.

You film using mini-dv cameras equipped with broadcast microphones and tripods and also learn how to record video clips using our Flip cameras.
