Former Up To Speed journalism student Jack Parsons is starting a new job as a bookazine Production Editor.
A bookazine sits on the magazine shelves of a bookshop and looks like a magazine, but has as much content as a book.
“I am very excited to join an innovative company like Imagine Publishing,” said Jack.
“I’m especially pleased to join their bookazines department, which is a publishing format they have trail-blazed, producing 180 titles worldwide in the last five years. I hope that I can contribute to this creative team and help this fledgling medium go from strength to strength.”
Jack took Up To Speed’s fast-track NCTJ journalism course two years ago and went on to work for Listed magazine, rising to the post of editor.
There are still limited spaces on Up To Speed’s next fast-track courses, which start on September 24 and last for six months of full-time study. The courses are accredited by the National Council for the Training of Journalists and take place in the Daily Echo building in Bournemouth.
