Up To Speed Video Journalist Is “A Genius”

Up To Speed student Michael Dias has been praised for his professionalism and skill after producing a video piece as part of the Daily Echo’s coverage of the Bournemouth Air Festival.

Michael covered the Festival Ball and his package included an interview with the broadcaster and founder of ChildLine, Esther Rantzen.
The President of Bournemouth Chamber of Trade and Commerce Nigel Hedges called Up To Speed to praise Michael’s work.
“He captured the whole spirit of the event and people who were there are stunned by his film,” said Nigel. “The guy’s a genius.”
Michael, 19, has just finished Up To Speed’s NCTJ accredited fast-track journalism course based at the Bournemouth Daily Echo.

Video journalism at Up To Speed is taught by Tom Hill, a former BBC reporter and producer for ITN, Sky News and GMTV.
